Also, there having fireworks all opening weekend and on April 1st they open at 8am!!!

Look's like I will be there opening day!!

I wonder what is with the change of decision, because I like it!!

Edit: Also, there is a Season Pass day scheduled for April 16th and the first CAD is scheduled for May 5th!!

I'll probably be there on Friday the 31st then. That actually works great for me. What's up with the 8am opening??? It's great, but I feel bad for the opening maintenance and operations crew, they'll have to be there SO early. I really like the fireworks though. Great touches for this early in the season, lets hope it's all as good as it sounds.

Scrolling along to later in the year, the park will be open until 11 on Saturdays starting in mid-June and through Laborday weekend. That is cool. I am liking the hours. You can expect to see me there bright and early on April 1st.

I'll be there the 31st, i'll just call out sick that day

. I'm going to get some payback on the 7 drivers that called out sick today. We had so many open routes i'm @#$%^! I really hate football now. :x :x :x :x :x

Anyone really look at the shows and events page yet???

Two big notices are

Family Fright Fest and Two big concerts the beach boys and foreigner. I wonder if there are big changes in stor for FF this season more family friendly is what I am thinking .

Glad to see the park is getting a buzz lets see how well it works.

^Orlando the park opens at 10am Friday and 8am on Saturday. Maybe you want to beat the crowds ? I not sure ? but I wanted to let you know before you got to a locked gate on Friday. I'll be there early but around 9:30am.

I hope they dont lose thier edge. Halloween themeing is nice, but we still go for the scare lets not forget!

Wade, it is a tradition at OTC, on the moday after the Stupidbowl, for about 1/3 of the drivers and 1/2 of the laborers call out sick to get over the hangovers :x . When you work as hard as we do, you drink as hard as a college frat :roll: :lol: .

Just a heads up...

We received word that the opening day hours are the following:

March 31st, opening day - 5PM to 11PM

Please continue checking sixflags.com for the latest operating hours. It is always possible that things could change on other operating dates as well.

And yes, there are still fireworks EACH NIGHT on opening weekend! (weather permitting of course)

Oh darn :? . Was looking forward to a day in the park not really a night . We will have to see how the weather is too cold and we will go on the 1st instead. Oh well still looking forward to going .

I have to agree that I was somewhat looking forward to a very empty park on the 31st. However, this schedule seems far more pratical in that nobody would have been there during the day on Friday anyway. Well, except a few of us from here lol.

With a 8AM opening on Saturday, its hard to get upset over this small change. I would think that this gives them even more time on Friday during the day to get things ready without the guests in view so I'm cool with it

Since it would only be the die-hard fans on friday, we should have very short lines for all the rides. I think we should even have some sort of meeting at the park so we could all get to know and meet each other in person.

I still find it weird that the park would open at 8 on the first but the 31st opening at 5 works better for me because then I only have to miss my last class instead of a whole day to go.

The 1st is a Saturday

Families, etc. can show up on the 1st.

Friday would be more difficult for locals as most of us have school or work. 5PM makes a lot more sense on Friday, the 31st.

Its still a bit alarming that the parks website says 10am -8pm on the 31st but we were assured that is wrong. Hopefully they change it soon.
