Six Flags executive dons disguises to scout parks

To check up on his company's 21 theme parks, Mark Shapiro of Six Flags sometimes visits the attractions in disguise. The chief executive said he comes to Louisville about four times a year. What's his favorite coaster at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom?

It is not uncommon to see Mr. Shapiro walking around Great Adventure with his family. I think it is great that the CEO visits the parks and sees what is happening.  I have met him before and is a very nice, enthusiastic person.

This is a very good move on his part. I would most likely do something similar if I were in his shoes. I'd do the same for Wendy's (show up and check up on the place in disguise) but that would just be silly.

I understand his favorite disguise is as Mr. Richard Kinzel, though the pancake makeup is a royal pain to remove....

Seriously though (back on topic?), theme parks should actually hire people (like me) to do nothing but stealth investigative work to review operations and do reports back to senior managment.

^ It's called "mystery shoppers"... we get them in Wendy's 2 times a month. I'm pretty sure SF hires people for this, but they don't get paid in money, just tickets to the park, or coupons for food and stuff.

LOL... I dont even want to get involved with watching maintenance. I might stop riding coasters if I watched what they do at most parks (sarcasm)
