Why doesn't the park open at 12 for Fright Fest?

If budget is such a problem, why doesn't the park open at 12 noon for Fright Fest like they used to? That'd still leave 6 hours for families during the day and then they also might be able to get more than half of the rides to open with the park.

For us, it works out better with the younger kids due to naps, etc.  We'd go at 10 and get home by 2ish to avoid having breakdowns from lack of naps.  Typically, the crowds interested in the haunts and coasters prefer going in the evening while the famlies prefer to go right at opening.

I'm curious if other have ideas as well because it is actually a very good question.

I know SFNE opens at 12, I wonder why there is any difference?
