The main park for the ACE Con was Kings Island which we spent part of 4 days at. They had a whole group of employees working specifically for the Con and they treated us very well with good meals, behind-the-scenes tours, and lots of free goodies. Unfortunately, Kings Island is another park with a very mediocre selection of coasters. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be Flight of Fear which isn't even unique to just Kings Island. The Beast was way rougher than either of us remembered and night rides were especially jarring. With it now being a Cedar Fair park, we were especially suprised that rerides were allowed during both regular hours and during the ERT sessions.
We also participated in the Midway Olympics for the first time. That's where teams of 5 compete in playing 9 different midway games. It's too bad our team, the Boulder Dashers, didn't fare too well since none of us ever play games. Once the Olympics were over, they let us play the games for free and of course we did much better when it didn't count.
