Ghost Train renewed with ultramodern screen
Atlantic Technology

The summer season at Linnanm?ki amusement park, located in Helsinki, Finland, opened to foggy conditions this year, due to its latest attraction the FogScreen projection screen, which can be seen as part of the Ghost Train ride. The high tech fog screen subtly renews this classic ride at Linnanm?ki, which was originally opened in August 1950.

FogScreen creates stunning, attention-demanding presentations and effects where an image projected onto a fog surface that floats in the air. The fog is dry, so it can be touched and people can also walk through it.

?Linnanm?ki wants to be a pioneer in everything, and just to give an example, the first hamburgers in Finland were sold at Linnanm?ki,? says Risto R?ikk?nen, Linnanm?ki?s CEO. ?Every year Linnanm?ki introduces four to five new rides, but particularly the old rides are subtly renewed. We had been looking for something new for the Ghost Train for a long time, but when we saw the FogScreen product for the first time, we knew right away that this was the renewal we had been looking for, this is something huge,? he says, justifying his choice.

?Even if our company is conquering the world and FogScreen projection screen can be found in places such as Paris, Las Vegas, New York and Milan, it feels great to be able to experience FogScreen in our home town, Helsinki,? says Mika Koivula, CEO of FogScreen, Inc. ?Linnanm?ki?s Ghost Train is an excellent example of how FogScreen projection screen is suited to a wide variety of places and how it allows for the creation of a range of different experiences. Amusement parks are an important customer segment for us, and an example of this was found right here in Finland,? he continues.

After seeing the water screen that was used during the fireworks show at Gadv, I could only imagine how awesome it would be to see a fog screen on say, Nitro.  That holds some great possibilities.
Peep the concept, you've got progress, you've got congress
We protest in hopes they confess, just proceed on your conquest

It's about the ONLY thing cool about the Florida update....well, that and actually sprucing the place up a tad with updated audio, etc.

The strange part is, its not much different than what they have already been doing with Fantasmic.
