I'd like to be able to say I'd join ya on a Canada journey. Depends on what month y'all decide to go though. I know June is out of the question, July probably too. If we go in August, I'll have to skip any big celebrating for my birthday... hmmmm

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

Maybe you could go on the Rob Alvey Leviathon, and other US hotness tour... haaha

So you are doing this thing ACE style Ken. Is that what everyone else is doing or not so much?

As little as I like Millennium Force, I think it is much more impressive looking than B&M Millennium Force.

There is just something beautiful about the supports of MF than the B&M random beams. Plus, it gives it the appeal of more height.

I would have to somewhat agree with this as well. What is the drop angle of MF, it look greater than 80.

I think we all know that the drop is not MF's biggest problem ;) sorry Shoe.

I personally LOVE the look of the Intamin box track with all the triangle bracing. It's so detailed.

P.S. MF's drop angle is 80 degrees. But the crest is too long of a radius to give any powerful airtime. The B&M Millennium Force's drop looks "tighter" and should give a nice kick in the back seat. Likely the best first drop ever actually. Right now without a doubt that goes to Texas Giant 2.0, followed by i305.

I wonder if Leviathan will have that bend in the track on the first drop (like Diamondback and other newer B&M mega coasters). I don't think it will be very noticeable if there at all because of that box support going right through the spine on the first drop which the other B&M's don't have.

I have been thinking this. But I wasn't going to be the one starting the "best drop ever" conversation. I was trying to think about which drops could come close. To me the B&M mega's are the best drops now, and this one will be near 100 feet more. I know its only 76 feet taller, but the biggest drop is 215... This one will be at least 307. I also assumed I305 would be one of the best, along with MF. TG kind of escaped my thoughts but I don't doubt it. There are a couple of really good wood drops... Legend and RF2 are two of my favourites. El Toro is obviously awesome too.

^ Shoe.. There are pictures out there from the bottom looking up and it appears to be dead straight.

El Toro, Texas Giant 2 and i305 have *by far* the most intense first drops of any coaster in the world. Nothing else has such a powerful airtime kick in the backseat nor sustains it as long as those three do.

Out of those three, i305 has the most sustained air, but the intensity of the force is stronger on both Toro and Giant. And between those two, Giant wins simply for the lose-fitting restraints.
If i305 had B&M restraints, it would absolutely be THE best drop in all of coasterdom, as it was before the soft over-the-shoulder straps were added (the old hard ones were much loser and didn't hold you down the way the new ones do). That is why I have high expectations for the awesomeness of Canada's new first drop, despite the rest of the ride doing much to excite me.

^ It should be the best drop. But who knows.

I saw it in person for the first time today. The pictures don't do it justice.

This coaster would have been so much better if they had put a couple smaller bunny hops after the brake run. Wouldn't have made it much longer length wise but would make a huge difference ride experiencewise. Still cool none the less but the layout is short.
