knoebels 2015 project
« on: February 07, 2014, 12:02:11 AM »
Almost took this to the tree fort... but I'm looking for buckling down, and hashing this one out. With no tangents that the tree house is famous for.

People are saying a main building/entrance but not a gate as per say. Just a clear entrance spot. Also hearing a lot of terrain coaster chatter. Who would build this?

If it's wood, Knoebels builds their own, no? I think they built Twister and do all the work on Phoenix.

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

Yes, but they would probably have TGG or GCII design it. Their previous woodies although built in-house were based on previous designs tweaked by John Fetterman.  They haven't engineered a ride entirely from scratch, although they could.

Could be a major waterpark expansion.

Zoom in and look at the details.  When something has a "Life Belt" it really makes you wonder.
Someone put much thought into that design all made with parts from Home Depot.

I'm curious, but not very anxious at this point.  I'm more anxious for Morey's to finally build the Wildwoodie. It's been almost as long of a wait has Flying Turns.  Six years since the announcement and still no vertical construction.

Today's hint pointed to impulse coaster. Seems too far fetched and not overly exciting to me. But it does fit the bill in terms of something you wouldn't expect knoebels to have. One of the comments was RMC impulse woodie... now that's something I'd like to explore. Side note: Dorney has an impulse.

Maybe they are going one step further, and thinking "shuttle" and they're getting an Anton Shuttle??? One can dream.
