With 14 rides, including eight roller coasters, the proposed Orlando Thrill Park hopes to cater to enthusiasts underserved by Florida's theme parks.

Scheduled to open in summer 2013, the proposed amusement park would include rides from several manufacturers, including Intamin, Vekoma, Chance Morgan, Mack, S&S Power, U.S. ThrillRides and Mondial, according to Chuck Bell, spokesman for the Orlando Thrill Park.

Plans for the 77-acre park call for an assortment of towering thrill rides and every variety of roller coaster -- including hydraulic launched, inverted, flying, motorbike and 4th dimension coasters -- with room set aside for future development...

A 425 ft. Tall inverted launch coaster... what?

Also one of them is supposed to be a blue fire mega coaster clone, too.

Looks like it'll be worth a visit. ;)

Yeah, the SLC is a big red strike against them though!

The customed designed ones are alot better. Also it would use vekomas new 4 across trains and track. So in actuality, other than the name and the fact that its inverted, its not the same.

Ok now I'm actually excited.  Looks like they re-engineered their track design as well. Guide wheels are on the outside now. Hopefully the bogies can steer like B&Ms. Otherwise it'll be just a fancier hang N bang.

Between the new trains, new harnesses, quality in engineering improvements and overall track improvements, I bet this SLC will rock :).

It's an SLC...they are known for hanging and banging....Even the best ones aren't very good at avoiding that!

The smoothest invert I have ever been on would surprisingly have to be raptor. B&M's are famous for having a whiplash at some point during the ride and the vekoma SLC's just shake you like crazy for the entire layout. BBW was actually a little rougher than raptor and other B&M's because through a lot of the sharp turns the trains would go up to about 105 degrees which would snap you badly sometimes. Other than getting snapped a lot, those turns were a hell of a lot of fun.

Vekoma does have one thing over B&m and thats that the layout of the slc is actually extremely good and forceful. The problem isn't the track but the fact that trains don't ride smooth on them. Its not like how scream machine had certain parts where it would smash your head. So the new trains would solve this problem and especially since they nows use side wheels on the outside, these things will ride smooth like B&M's yet but incredibly forceful.

Would you ever guess this is a vekoma. They've come a long way, and I'd like to see them come back to Six Flags. Especially since there prices are a lot better than B&M and Intamins.

Vekoma could probably rival B&M due to the fact they both offer family-style (four abreast) trains and vekoma's prices are cheaper, hopefully. I would like to see their mega coaster in action though, because they could build excellent hyper coasters and due to their track design they might be able to go close if not past the 300 ft mark that only intamin has done previously.
