APRIL 1, 2010FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASESIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE TO RE-THEME MOVIETOWN, NITRO, THE DARK KNIGHT COASTERSix Flags Great Adventure is always looking at the license agreements with various vendors and is very pleased to announce that a strong relationship with DC COMICS will allow the park to re-theme Movietown, and with it Nitro and THE DARK KNIGHT COASTER into a great superhero story that only DC COMICS can tell.Movietown will be re-themed to the Justice League, where heroes serve and protect the citizens every day from the dangers of the world. The area will have all new theming, lighting and effects to transform the area into a world where superheroes live and protect.Nitro will become THE FLASH, based on the iconic DC COMICS character. With all new queue and train theming, as well as sound effects for the ride itself, THE FLASH will take riders on a journey through various DC COMICS creations as riders help save the day.We are also very proud to announce that THE DARK KNIGHT COASTER will be re-themed to SUPERMAX. SUPER MAX will house the most dangerous of DC COMICS villians, and riders will race through as The Joker plans a breakout; a plan that must be stopped at any cost.The Justice League, also called the Justice League of America or JLA, is a fictional superhero team that appears in comic books published by DC Comics.The Flash is a name shared by several fictional comic book superheroes from the DC Comics universe. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, the original Flash first appeared in Flash Comics #1 (January 1940)
