New Clementon Website
« on: March 24, 2010, 04:12:17 PM »
Looks like Clementon Park spruced up the site quite a bit and I must say that it is a very nice design. A lot more organized and inviting. What really caught my eye however is the subpage saying "Something Hot is coming to Clementon Park". Could this be a new attraction? Maybe the rumored S&S Drop Tower or Small Coaster in Jack Rabbit's old spot or a new spicy food eatery. Time will tell Opening Day May 28th!

Yes just seen it
I hope its something exciting   A coaster would be nice but I doubt it

it can't be a water attraction  being HOT    any guesses ?  I put out a few texts to friends to find out  :o

Maybe not a coaster but a flat. I hope they didn't get me excited ofr a Spicy Food Stand or something. I really hope it is a ride...maybe a Larson Fireball. That would be a welcomed experience since the last one I rode was at Morey's. Truly out of control ride!

still prefer a drop tower or caoster

even a small family coaster  which is badly needed
many people are afraid to ride the Hell/J/tsunami

They're gonna rename Tsunami again. It's gonna be called "Something Hot"

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

Thanks for the heads up coasterprince.  The new site is 10x better than before.  I guess that's a good start.

This place will always have a huge place in my heart because of growing up in the area and visiting every year but I still can't get over whats been done to it.  Get a real carousel back in the actual CAROUSEL HOUSE, bring back a family woodie, classic family fun rides like the whip or even a tilt-a-whirl and of course, the Clementon Belle.  I know paddle boats were brought in as a replacement but that just isn't the same.

I know it isn't the fault of the current owners and they are really trying the best they can in this economy but all of the reasons I listed above (among others) are why this family of 5 has never been there.

I'll go myself once a year for Hellcat though :).

And for the record, they have come a long way.  I know the park was MUCH cleaner and more spruced up on my last visit and it seems like the condition of the few rides they do have left is better than before but they still have a long way to go.

Edit: i almost forogt to mention, the inverter is going bye bye to make way for a new flat of some sort in 2010.

I totally agree
I grow up just a few blocks from the park and now live about 2 miles away
but yes they need a FAMILY COASTER and CAROUSEL  and all that Wade has mentioned.

THe waterpark is very nice but you have to get lucky to go when its not crowded like a inner city public pool  8)
(go during the day if u can)
I went one day for a few rides on the coaster and the waterpark was packed (it was very hot out)
this can also be from the MANY GROUP/COMPANY PICNICS they have. (call ahead and see when no or little picnics are held)

Some days its crowed others not at all - this is a great VALUE for a family just for the water park
My sister had her kids birthday parties here since they have covered picnic areas and rides  WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME.

MOST OF THE TIME YOU CAN GET RERIDES ON THE COASTER  I normally just stay in the same seat or just jump in another one.
get my fix and get out.
