Cedar Fair Dissed by LA Times Blog (again)
« on: October 23, 2009, 06:43:45 PM »
Quote
...Think of it as a white elephant Christmas in which the California theme parks get regifted presents in 2010 as parent company Cedar Fair bestows the big prizes on Virginia’s Kings Dominion (a $25-million coaster), North Carolina’s Carowinds (a $23-million coaster) and Ohio’s Cedar Point (a $10.5-million water ride).

The rewrapping theme continues in 2010, as Great America will convert the Kidzville and Nickelodeon Central kiddie lands into Planet Snoopy, with the existing children’s areas repopulated with “Peanuts” characters and re-themed rides.

Meanwhile, Great America’s oft-delayed wooden coaster, announced in 2007 with great fanfare and much anticipation, remains in bureaucratic limbo.

That just sucks.

My quick summary:
CF: alright, Doswell gets a giga-coaster; Carowinds gets a hyper-coaster; cedar point gets a water ride; did we get everything?
CGA: You forgot us.
CF: what did we forget?
CGA: You forgot that wooden coaster you promised us back in 2007.
CF: What Wooden Coaster?

I actually did forget that. And yes, I do feel pretty dumb about it, too.

Some of them are actually pretty good. The Two with Knott's berry farm in them weren't that bad.

I'm even worse in person.  You'd probably say "Wow, just stop it."  Then again, others have run into me in unexpected parks and only said Wow...I had no idea they were speaking to little old me...

Wow, once not old and certainly once not little
