I have a few friends who work on the ride now, and they are supposed to start training crew/team members on checking lap restraints and dispatching on Wednesday-Thursday. My guess is somewhere in the time span of 2 weeks from now.

I forget what day but a radio station is running a promotion that they will be airing from the ride and the date was in July.  So yes, very soon.

I spent some time with the same friends who work the ride today, nothing new to report yet. It will take a lot of sweat to get it ready for next week.

To be honest with you, it really does look like it sucks. Besides for maybe 2 or 3 parts of the ride, its just rolling over gentle hills and soft turns.

If the trains would have about 10 MPH more when going through the course, I think it'd be an awesome ride. I think the layout looks awesome, but watching it run, it just too graceful looking. I will most likely be on it by the end of next week, so I'll report back then.

Actually, the ride is precisely what they wanted - something the GP would eat up. And they are. It wasn't built with the enthusiasts in mind. With that said, I can assure you the roughness will be addressed later (after hhn) and it actually is faster than it seems. The sand filled supports make it so quiet that its really just strange. In fact, after just recently waiting in line for the Dark Knight @ SFNE, I can say that just losing the b&m roar made it appear slower but it was basically just as fast as Medusa...um, Bizarro.

Anyway, I obviously have a slight personal attachment to the ride so be careful what you say LOL

Sounds like...dare I say it...The Dark Knight Coaster?  Except the GP know what to expect this time around, lol.
