Why get a new coaster when you can help one of the classic rides for cheaper?

We also don't need any more coasters.

huh?

Were you trying to be punny?  Or do you not realize the park is seriously out of balance and in danger of becoming Cedar Point East...which is not necessarily a good thing...

The problem with that statement is that being Cedar Point East would be a good thing. They have built up one of, if not the best flat collection in the country/world, they have just as good, if not a better selection of coasters, and are  outstnding when it comes to water and kiddie rides.  We lack flats, water rides, so we aren't Cedar Point East.

Please stay on topic... I don't mind the conversation but take it to a new thread since this is about the 50th Anniversary.  Thanks :)

So other than Chang replacing GASM, and possibly getting a new name and theme; What else should the park get? I'm looking forward to some new flats in the space that's highlighted where Chang supposed to be.

*If* there are any new flats on the way, I can guarantee they won't be by the new stand up. Fantasy Forest has tons of open ride pads that are already prepped and an eyesore to boot.

Personally, I'd be happy if we simply got some new swings. :).

I'd giggle myself silly if they were 302 feet tall...or 401!

My wish list is for more flats and rides for the kids from 48 inches to 54 inches because there is just not enough there for them !

Apparently they backed out of the plan to give us the 5D ride and now the warehouse is in limbo much like half of the park.

Why does everyone want a new Musik Express?  Jolly Roger is practically the same ride but with a theme that fits its area.  Why would you want a crappy generic Musik Express that you can find in any fair as well?

Be glad we didn't get the 5D after all. Low capacity and from what I've seen it would have been very disappointing. It would have been a bigger let down to the GP than TDK was.

Regarding the empty theater, I'm actually wondering what would be a good fit. While the old show sucked, at least it was indoors with AC and the kids could ride it. Now we have nothing. I agree though, no major loss there other than the actual loss of what we had.

It would be nice to get some staple rides back though. Swings and maybe some bumper cars?

I wish we had a set of really nice Bumper cars as well.   Maybe a mix  of cars like IB, Rye, Quassy  or even the scary ones at Keansburg.  I know Knoebels already has a lock down on  all Lusse  Skooters  but that would be Ideal. : )

Some indoor flat rides with effects!

How about an Everly Monster with fog, strobes, lasers, and music?

Bumper Cars is a no-brainer, but I can't imagine they'd be able to get away with anything even close to the intensity of Knoebels' skooters.

I'm sure they wouldn't be amused by even that post.  Being sworn to secrecy (if one actually even knew anything) does NOT mean going around telling people "Neener, neener, neener, I know I but I can't tell you."  That alone is violating a confidence.

Besides, it is not known as being sworn to secrecy.  It's known as having signed an NDA (non-disclosure agreement).  One of the terms of every NDA I have ever seen is that one will not even disclose one has signed it or is bound by it.

Sigh.
