You are right Dan but the removal of Chaos was more of a safety one with all the bizarre events that happened with them. But none the less, its still a significant difference of rides. Mind you that SIX stock peaked in 1996 at a whopping $50+. Its time to get back to basics and that is what Shapiro is doing. A key quote that sticks with me is in an interview last year with Shapiro when he said he would have no problem buying all these flat rides, however its the problem of advertising them.

That's his problem, right there. He doesn't know the difference between short term gains vs long term investments! Gary at least understood that, in 1999. Short term new coaster spikes in attendance haven't paid off in the past 10 years, however.

Could it also be the cost of maintaining the flats, such as if we got the amount of flats as in 1999?

Not at all. The biggest problem with all of these flats is staffing them. We may start to see the tides turn in that regard though due to the crappy economy. For once lazy young Americans are looking for jobs.

Come to think of it, this year has got to have the fewest number of internationals that I can recall in recent memory.

That actually really does creep me out lol. I'd love to see a buzz/mib style shooter at our park. They could go all out with the space we have. I just don't know what a good theme would be.

I just went to Waldameer and really enjoyed steel dragon.. and I know its another coaster but it's like a flat in ways... Small footprint, spining motion, make you feel dizzy.

Not sure but I think it might have a fairly low height restriction as well.

What we need is this themed to The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Coaster themed to...something else, THIS by Granny's in the ready-to-go pad (or maybe THIS).  Replace Tango with the resurrection of this  Who doesn't love a good breakdance with a great theme, lol.

That's just a small part of the list of "what we need" that I could make.

There is a Timber Tower at nearby Marineland. From what I hear its nothing special, but It looks great.

I totally agree with the giant frisbie. MaxAir is the best flat i've been on I think. Other than scamblers, tilt-a-whirls, and gravatrons of course. haah
