You 2 are probably TR's biggest fans by 100 miles.

Did you see the dragon?? Haha  huge inside joke around here... it used to be unless you looked behind you and off to the side while riding you couldn't see the dragon. Most ppl think you're screwing with them when you ask if they saw it. I think now they light it right up. I usually take 1 ride per year. Did either if you know it was origionally outside for the first 5-6 years the park was open? There's pics on coaster database. Kinda weird. I rode it then but I can't remember that far back.

Was not aware that the ride was relocated. Interesting. The mountain and theming really makes the ride fun. It definitely wouldn't be as good outdoors.

Just plain brutal maybe.. They used to have a walking tour around the mountain. (Before the mountain started to look like hell). You probably noticed walkways of sorts at the top of vortex.

Here's your dear thunder Run, or should I Say Blauer Enzian.
It was where the Fly(Wild Mouse) is now. Notice in the bottom of the picture the old observation deck of the mountain.

If you go during opening go to the outer edges of the park like on nitro or bizarro first.

Intamin rhymes with win for a reason!

I didn't buy flash passes but the lines were real long...

After noon the lines pick up so get moving from 10:30-12:00
I went on a wednesday and after noon el toro was 1hr. Medusa was 1hr 15 min and superman was 1hr 30min.

I went on nitro at 11:00 and it was a 2 min wait.

Both coasters are fun, but Thunder Run is powered. Skull Mountain is all about the first drop in the back seat. And Thunder Run is in a frickin' mountain (with a suspended coaster on top of it) and not a shed with a rocky facade.
Is it better?
