And again my point that the press releases and news items in the center of the home page are often missed is made!
Huh? A weaker dollar means it is cheaper to come here than go other places. And for us, it costs much more to go out of the country. IF tourism is down in the USA, it may be our national image, the difficulties of security or something else. But it isn't the weaker dollar. Now, if you mean the weaker dollar has made energy and imports more dear and we, the US residents, no longer have as much money to spend on discretionary things like tourism, you are onto something. Which is why I don't necessarily buy the Shapiro/Snyder story that high gas prices may well benefit Six Flags as people may stay closer to home. I fear they will rather husband their meager discretionary dollars to save for that ONE special trip, say to Disney or Universal, and the Six Flags passes may be foregone, or trips to the local park greatly curtailed, with in park spending even more so.
