Moreys pulled out all the stops
Whoever didn't go to this event missed one of the best times I had at ANY coaster event in 23 years as a ACE member.
we had to much to do and walked away with about 6 t-shirts stuffed animals, Extreme rides ERT.extened ERT times and much much more
My thanks go out to The Moreys Family,Dino and Angel they know how to host an event

I even got to watch the coast guard look for people missing in the water from the top of the Great White (ERT till 2am) which as I thought did happena a drowning

that night due to Hurricane Bertha 1000 miles away and the rip currents

FYI New coaster may not happen until 2011

I got one of the original Nor' Easter shirts from when the ride first open back in the 90's, a "Coasin by the Ocean" shirt and a "new" Nor' Easter shirt.

2 of the shirts came in the "goodie bag" we got at Sign in. The original Nor' Easter shirt was a prize at the dinner.

I had one really good ride on it, easily the best I've ever had, but the other 2 rides I took still sucked. If they'd build the rides so the wheels were constantly on the track, it might work better.

It still sucks, but I can handle more rides on it in a weekend now than any other SLC. Still, it's ridiculous how the train shuffles. There's like no shock absorption at all!

Is that why SLCs are so rough? Because the wheels don't "hug" the track?

ok I still will post a trip report when I get some time I got home just this mourning.
Also they want to change the mini golf on Marineers pier to a walk through haunted attraction.
here are a few pics of some of the 3 designs they had on display for the beach/bridge crossover.
Also Gravity Group is one of the Players but no design shown , Premier looks to be out
Which one do you like ? I like the Moreys Piers signage on the bridge but not sure what type of bridge ?

*wow am I stupid. I finally decided to find out how to spell DEFINETLY correctly and I was way off and have been spelling it wrong for such a long time!

I definitely prefer the Cable-stay bridge. That would be a really cool visual for a wood coaster.

Chuck, the word on the piers is that they want to put all of the upcharge attractions on the south pier (Great White),. so I'm sure the Skyscraper will find its way down there if it doesn't get moved somewhere else. Wish you could have been there last weekend to ride the Skyscraper with me. I couldn't find anyone to ride with me.

I like the top bridge scheme Tom, but they are all nice. Thanks for the pics. The new coaster looks a bit like Thunderhawk in the middle with the low, speed hill and the horseshow at the end. Did anybody ask for a 90 degree tunnel like Hades?
