Quoting the last paragraph of the Orlando Sentinel article:

...The woman, who was in her 60s, was a ride attendant on the Primeval Whirl, a roller coaster type ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom. She stepped into a prohibited area on a platform and was hit by a moving car.

The entire story vanished from local6.  Apparantly there was some confusion as to whether or not she passed.  My guess would be they released the information to soon before the family was fully notified or it was Disney putting on the pressure to reduce the coverage.

One of my friends filled me in a few minutes after I posted that.  It's a real shame.  It can happen on any ride really, but I heard that PW's cars stay in motion in the station.  I haven't ridden it yet, so I don't know first hand.  It's just that much more to use your signals.
