Disney to spend $1B on Hawaiian resort?

http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007711090339

That's what the developer of the Ko Olina Resort & Marina on O'ahu, where Disney recently announced plans for an 800-plus-room hotel and time share, seems to think, according to today's Honolulu

"They have decided to come to Hawaii and spend what will amount to about a billion dollars to build the  grandest resort in the world ? not a theme park," developer Jeff Stone is quoted as saying. "There won't be any rides. There aren't going to be any submarines. You may see a pirate or two."

The full story, which includes a few more details about Hawaii's pleasant "rodent problem,"

Um... DisneyWorld.... did they FORGET about WDW ?!?!  A billion dollars sunk into this and DCA and meanwhile WDW is rotting away :(  A billion bucks sure could do a lot to fix a dying Tomorrowland or better yet, add the land that Animal Kingdom has desperately needed to make it a real park - Beastly Kingdom.
