For one extraordinary night, Dream Nite winners and their guests will have the park all to themselves! They'll live out their theme park fantasies, from the world's best thrill and family rides to dining with the Looney Tunes and Justice League characters, riding in the Six Flags parade, watching their very own customized fireworks show and -- best of all -- no lines and completely free of charge!

All 2007 Six Flags season pass holders are automatically entered to win.

The promotion begins online at midnight tonight and runs through Memorial Day, Monday May 28, 2007. The lucky winners will be chosen in a drawing in July 2007, and the Dream Nite parties will take place in September 2007 at the 16 Six Flags parks listed below.

I assume you will probably have to submit an entry via mail if you acquired your 2007 Season Pass before Sept 28,2006.

But imagine if you won this!!

The sad part is I have a hard time getting one person to go to GAdv...let alone 100!
I'm sure that would change quickly if I won....As the crowd issue would no longer be a valid excuse!

This story talks about a guy that won a free trip to space from Oracle.
Only he wasn't able to pay the taxes  on his winnings, an had to cancel his ride into space!
In this case he would have owed was $25,000 in taxes on his $138,000 prize! Yikes.

Since the Internal Revenue Service requires winnings from lottery drawings, TV game shows and other contests to be reported as taxable income, tax experts contend there's no such thing as a free spaceflight. Some contest sponsors provide a check to cover taxes, but that income is also taxable.

So it looks like Six Flags is nice enough to kick in the $ to cover the taxes if you should be lucky enough to win the "Six Flags Dream Nite Contest".
But you will still owe tax $ on the money they gave you to pay taxes. 
Ironic isn't it!

Each winner that is a United States resident will also receive a cash stipend to defer a portion of the cost of any taxes associated with winning the prize in the amount of one thousand two hundred eighty dollars (U.S. $1,280) per winner. The cash stipend will be distributed after the Dream Nite event.

ARV of each prize in this Sweepstakes is estimated to be four thousand four hundred eighty dollars (U.S. $4,480), which includes the cash value of the stipend.

So I don't want to hear about anyone foregoing their "Dream Nite" because they can't afford to pay taxes.
