Well, it does have legs after that bad fire last year. So while they are probably smiling over saving some money, I think it will still float well with the locals since they probably are really concerned about it.
Is there a true threat? I doubt it. These parks are so insanely careful with how and where they launch fireworks that the odds are greater for somebody to toss a smoke out their car window and set the hills on fire than the fireworks. Still smart PR and it should be well received.
And I don't feel all that sorry for them since we've been without them for years lol
