Fathers Day was a ZOO !!! Photos ....
« on: June 18, 2007, 09:22:06 AM »
Well thanks to the BAFF Coup . and Tony hawk the park was crazy yesterday. We got there at opening and my son wanted to do HH first. so in the house we go the only 5 people riding was our family. ALL the effects were working so not so bad. Off to KK . had to be a 30 min or so wait when we got there . Hubby went on line I went on RT  4 trains running and we went on twice before heading back to KK . Used the Parent Pass today and had no issues. on to ET which had to be the slowest crew in a long time up there. Forever to get trains up and out. had to be  a 40 min  wait and after we got off had to be over an hour . RMT was running one train and was about 30 min. the log flume had to be an hour so we skipped it and went to the other side via the sky ride. Off the sky ride on to SM. The signs were so off in there it was funny . The sign said 60 min. from here to ride it was less then 30 . We did wigles world and the older ones went to nitro. Abotu a 30 min wait with three trains running. Used my PP again and had a great ride. we were going to do congo rapids but the line was full through the que and I wasn't waiting. Off to the Boom Boom Huck jam. It was Packed but I got some nice photos.

I hope the link works.

After the show we were out of there it was just too crowded to enjoy anything else in the park. All in all we got our rides in but skipped a lot due to huge lines and swarms of people eveywhere. the park handled the crowds well but with the heat and an over oboundance of visits in the past week we were done.

Glad to hear you had a nice time on RT. I thought all four were running. If I left it up to Source I would have been lead to believe only one train was running and only Flash Pass guests were boarding.
Prepare to weather the storm!

Nice TR.  I'm actually glad they keep getting crowded like this becuase it makes it all the more worth it to keep getting capacity up and the rides more reliable.  Knock on wood but I still think this is the first time in at least 5 years that operations have remained this solid through mid-June.

Btw- Nice pictures!  If you click the linking codes at the bottom of each pic, you can paste the top code option for "forum tag code" and it will apear like this:

Thanks for the TR :)

I will remember to post the photos like that next time I forgot . I can't honestly remember the last time I have seen the park running this good this far into the season either Wade but I must say they really need to control the access passes . As I waited on line for my parent pass I seen 4 passes given out to three sets of people. Out of the 4 only ONE had a letter to show actual need of the pass. This is the only thing that I have seen major issues with. If you don't have a letter i don't think you should get a pass . Who is to say I couldn't go up and say I have blah ,blah ,blah and get a pass. This really should be addressed other then that I can't really say I have seen anything unusually bad.

BTW no bathing suites in the park and they mean it this year . I saw them stopping people asking them to put tops on or giving them a set of the new rules at SF parks. :)

It's easy to enforce the park policies when you know that if a guest is belligerent that security will not only respond, but that they will back you up, and be truly happy to do so.  Last year I didn't feel like security had my back as much, and was genuinely happy to do so.  It's a much better atmosphere when it comes to that.

The park has run pretty solidly so far, and now that school's out (or close to it), we have staffing!  As long as the leads and supervisors keep their team members motivated, it'll only get better since the manpower has finally arrived on a daily basis.
