ATLANTIC COUNTY, N.J. -- Many people were devastated when it was announced that the Steel Pier amusement park would close for good after last summer's season.Donald Trump still plans to redevelop the Pier, but not before the gates reopen for at least one more summer.Trump Entertainment Resorts owns the Steel Pier, a fixture on the boardwalk since 1898. Trump had planned to get rid of the family amusement pier to build hotel rooms, condos and restaurants.But the Atlantic City landmark has received a temporary reprieve.For the past 15 years, Anthony Catanoso's family has leased the pier to operate an amusement park."We thought it was it for Steel Pier as we knew it,? said Catanaso.The amusement park is slated to reopen in April with an Easter Egg Hunt.Trump officials don't have a timetable for the re-development of Steel Pier, but they expect this summer to truly be the Steel Pier's last.
